For three years, Baylor Medical Center at Frisco has held a FREE Sports Medicine Symposium for parents coaches, and athletic trainers. At the 2011 event, Joe Ehrmann, author of InSideOut Coaching: How Sports Can Transform Lives and founder of Coach for America® and Men & Women for Others®, was the keynote speaker.
Attendees learned:
1.) The latest information from leading experts on sport injury prevention.
2.) How to recognize the symptoms of injury and cope with everything from concussion to muscle strains to overuse injuries.
3.) When to get students back in the game and how to maximize their athletic potential.
Targeted breakout sessions taught practical training techniques and Joe Ehrmann, one of the most influential coaches in America, showed participants not only how to be a better coach, but how to be a role model.
